On the 23rd of January 2004, Phase 1 was completed: a study on territorial information and fields of application.

During Phase 1, each member prepared a report on the currently available cartography as well as the tools they used to manage it.

The Government of Cantabria, in collaboration with the University of Cantabria, prepared a summary document, compiling and homogenizing the information contributed by each one of the members.

A second meeting was held, as planned, for the end of phase 1; with the aim of deciding formats of cartography and development tools as well as planning the work and timetable for the subsequent phases (2,3 and 4). At the meeting topics relating to the Communication Plan were also dealt with and a project logo and project web page were presented.
