The conference “GIS and Geographical Information Technologies (GIT) Forum: Preparing the Future” took place in Barcelona in the 29 ^th and 30^th of June, 2004. SITMUN was presented in the conference.

The presentation was carried out by Fina Sáez (Diputació de Barcelona) and Joan Nunes (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona). Fina Sáez began the presentation with the explanation of the project framework: she provided general information (state of the art, goals, duration, partners and budget) and the account of each one of the stages of the project and the different means of spreading it out. Then Joan Nunes described the software architecture and the administrator’s component of SITMUN.

The presentation was performed towards the end of the conference, so it was useful as a means of summarizing some of the issues that came up along the two-day conference.
